Day 5. I pin for a reason.
It's recently been brought to my attention that I have a tendency to pin things on Pinterest and then never look at them again. This is in fact true. Seeing as the whole point of Pinterest is to go back and use what was pinned in real life, I have decided to do just that.
Today I went into my "running" board on Pinterest and found myself an interval workout to try at the gym. I picked this one because the background is yellow and cheery and stuff.
Let me tell you, I hated almost every minute of this workout...
It might have been that I ate one too many cookies today, but regardless, I struggled. In general, I find it easier to run faster speeds when running at higher inclines rather than slower ones so I especially struggled with all the intervals at speed 4.0 and 4.5
However, I did feel awesome after I was done, even though I am currently hobbling around the house in pain.
The best thing about interval training like this is that even when it's hard you can always tell yourself "just one more minute". So instead of running for 3 miles at the same pace, staring at the clock, you're having fun changing the pace and incline. It keeps you so busy that the time flies by!
I should do this more often (minus the cookies).
Give it a shot and tell me your thoughts!
